Zelensky threatens anti-war Ukrainians supporting Trump peace deal, in 1st reaction to Geneva talks

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky welcomed what he called “substantive” talks in Geneva, where US, EU and Ukrainian officials examined President Donald Trump’s proposed peace framework. Zelensky said Kyiv’s team reported meaningful progress and noted that diplomacy “has been reinvigorated,” with further negotiations planned. The discussions come as the 28-point US draft plan triggers concern across Kyiv and Europe, given reported provisions demanding territorial concessions, major cuts to Ukraine’s armed forces and a large US stake in reconstruction. Moscow has reviewed the proposal, while Trump has softened his earlier deadline for acceptance, insisting the offer is not final despite publicly criticising Kyiv’s stance.
