  Ukraine and the United Arab Emirates have agreed to cooperate on defence amid Iran's drone strikes across the region, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Saturday.

  Zelensky said on social media he had met with Emirati President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and that the two leaders "agreed to cooperate in the field of security and defence. Our teams will finalise the details."

  "For all normal states, it is important to ensure stability and protect lives amid today's threats. Ukraine has relevant expertise in this area," he said.

  Iran war news LIVE updates: Another fire near Abu Dhabi's KED

  The Abu Dhabi media office has reported a third fire near the Khalifa Economic Zone.

  “Authorities further confirmed an additional injury as a result of the incident, to a Pakistani national, bringing the total number of injured individuals to six, with injuries ranging from minor to moderate,” the statement said.

  It added that “Authorities have controlled all three fires and the cooling process is underway.”
