How Tim Malone and Don Lemon met

Lemon and Malone met in 2015 at Almond restaurant in Bridgehampton, New York, but began dating the following year. The relationship became public in 2017. Lemon later referenced their early days during CNN’s New Year’s Eve Live, saying he had found “love on a two-way street,” People reported.

Malone’s background and early career

After more than a decade in media and advertising, Malone shifted careers in 2018 and joined the Corcoran Group as a real estate agent. He later worked at Douglas Elliman and now serves as a broker with Compass, where he leads The Malone Team. Malone focuses on luxury properties in New York City and the Hamptons and has handled several high-value sales, including Lemon’s former Harlem condominium, People reported.

Engagement and marriage

Malone proposed to Lemon in April 2019. The couple married on April 6, 2024, at Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church in New York City in a ceremony attended by about 140 guests. The wedding was officiated by then-US ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield.

Ahead of the wedding, Malone told People the couple chose a public ceremony to make a statement. Lemon later said the event followed traditional elements, including “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.”
