The operations were jointly conducted by army and personnel from the National Directorate of Security in Takhar, Kunduz, Sar-e-Pul, Jowzjan, Kandahar, Oruzgan, Khost, Paktika, Herat, Ghor and Helmand provinces in the past 24 hours, Khaama press reported.

Fifty-one militants were killed, 24 injured and 10 others were arrested by the security forces, the statement added.

The forces have been conducting several military operations against Taliban and other militant groups in the country.
