Afrijet to buy four ATR aircraft: manufacturer

Nigerian Afrijet Airlines has signed a contract to buy four ATR 72-500 aircraft for about 80 million dollars (57.7 million euros), ATR said at the Paris Le Bourget air show today.

Nigerian Afrijet Airlines has signed a contract to buy four ATR 72-500 aircraft for about 80 million dollars (57.7 million euros), ATR said at the Paris Le Bourget air show on Wednesday.

The contract follows a draft agreement last month when French Prime Minister Francois Fillon visited Nigeria, ATR said.

ATR is jointly owned by the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company EADS and Alenia Aeronautica, part of Finmeccanica.
