In the message, commander Abu Hurira al-Sanani warns President Ali Abdullah Saleh to "get away" because his fighters are "liberating territories from crusaders and apostate traitors."

He says Saleh will meet the same destiny as Pakistan's Pervez Musharraf, who stepped down in 2008 amid protests and under threat of impeachment.

Al-Sanani also says al-Qaida' new army in Yemen, named Aden-Abyan, is forced to turn volunteers away because its ranks are overflowing.

Al-Qaida has built up strongholds across the largely lawless Yemen, finding refuge among tribes resentful of the government.
