Bomb kills 10 in Iraqi Shi'ite city of Kerbala

A bomb planted on a cart pulled by a motorcycle killed 10 people and wounded 90 as Shi'ite pilgrims poured into the Iraqi holy city of Kerbala for a major religious rite, police said.

The death toll could rise, the police said.

A bomb targeting Shi'ite pilgrims killed more than 40 in northeastern Baghdad on Monday as they set off on the annual trek to Kerbala, 80 km (50 miles) southwest of the Iraqi capital, for the Arbain festival.
