Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has appealed to the international community to provide necessary help to fight the diarrohea outbreak as the death toll in Nepal's two remote districts due to the disease climbed to 124 over the last two months.

With four new diarrohea deaths in Rukum district on Sunday, the toll reached 23, according to Health Ministry officials, while in Jajarkot district, the disease has claimed 101 lives.
The government has mobilized army personnel and dispatched medical teams to the affected districts. The Prime Minister has instructed the concerned government bodies to speed up dispatching of medicine and health workers to the affected areas.
Poor sanitation, lack of pure drinking water, absence of medical facilities have been attributed for the epidemic.
