Nepal's former Prime Minister Prachanda on Monday said a new government under Maoists' leadership will be formed 'within weeks' as the former rebels decided to embark on a 'People's Revolution' to capture power.
The Maoists, who have been isolated by the mainstream political parties, on Monday decided to push ahead with a 'People's Revolution' so as form a national government under the leadership of its supremo Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda',
"We had serious discussions on the current problems in the country as well as the party's internal issues during the politburo meeting. We were successful in reaching the right conclusion and consolidating the party unity," party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', told reporters after the meeting.
Prachanda claimed that a government of national consensus under the Maoists' leadership will be formed within the next few weeks. He also underlined the need for pushing ahead with the landmark peace process and drafting the constitution for the country.
