Iraq claims to have killed eight British or US soldiers, downed three helicopters and destroyed more than 30 military vehicles Umm al-Shuyuk region.

Militia from Iraq's ruling Baath party killed eight British or US soldiers, downed three helicopters and destroyed more than 30 military vehicles in fierce fighting in the Umm al-Shuyuk region and around Muthanna, Information Minister Mohammad Said al-Sahhaf said on Tuesday.
