The committee, chaired by Tony Lewis and including former test captains Steve Waugh and Rahul Dravid, said on Friday its fears for the future of test cricket could be relieved by playing matches under lights to lure back fans.

John Stephenson, the assistant secretary of the Marylebone Cricket Club, said the successful trial of the pink ball in March during the day-night English county championship game in Abu Dhabi proved there was no reason to delay helping tests become more commercially viable.
