The 17-year-old singer and actress has spoken out about the pressures of fame on young stars, blaming the tabloids for making their lives a misery, reported Hollyscoop.

"Maybe people would stop being so mean to people that (sic) are in this business... because, if something does happen, it's just another story to sell. People should learn to be respectful and realise that love makes the world go round," said Cyrus.

The starlet insisted that she avoids the tabloids altogether and never reads what they write about her and her celebrity friends.

"I just live under my own little rock. I don't really read things or get out often... I'm not the most social human being. I just try to ignore everyone," said Cyrus.
