“This issue is sensitive to me, I admit. I am a lesbian, and very proud of it,” wrote the woman identified as “Butter”.

“I made the choice to be gay. A deliberate choice based on my personality ... Homosexuality is, in my view, a choice, ... not genetically determined. Like all choices, however, it is constrained by everything from past experiences to social structure,” she wrote.
