Pakistan government will share the findings of its probe into the Mumbai attacks with the whole world, including India, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said on Sunday.

Addressing a gathering at Multan in Punjab province, Gilani said Pakistan wants friendly relations with India and Afghanistan but on "equal terms".

He said the whole world, including India, would be taken into confidence on the findings of Pakistan's probe into the Mumbai attacks.

Gilani said war was no solution to the issue of terrorism and Pakistan and India should work together to counter the menace. Pakistan does not want war but reserves the right to defend its territory, he added.

Pakistan will not allow its territory to be used for terrorist acts, he said. Gilani added that Pakistan and India should pay more attention to problems faced by their people.

All political parties must work together to give strength to Pakistan, he said. The parties should not repeat mistakes made in the past. "We appointed the opposition leader as the head of (the parliamentary) public accounts committee for our own accountability," said Gilani.

The Pakistan People's Party-led government is a symbol of the federation and will complete its five-year term, he said.
