The incident took place in Kashmor district in Pakistan's Sindh province, Geo TV said.

According to the police, Jalnar Mamdani chopped off his wife Asia Mamdani's nose with a sharp edged tool after accusing her of having an affair with another man.

The husband fled home with their two children.

The victim was admitted to Kashmor Hospital but was later transferred to Sukkur Hospital where her surgery was carried out, the report said.

Asia has appealed to the police for providing her security.
