A famous Pakistani television actor was allegedly harassed by college students and teachers at a function, as they were apparently enraged by his portrayal of a scheming, womanizing businessman in a popular soap serial.
Saud Alvi, who plays the shifty and villainous character in the soap Bol Meri Machli, the story about the trials and tribulations of three sisters from a middle class family, claims that the abuse and remarks come his way on a daily basis.
The actor, who went to attend a college function on Wednesday at a leading educational institution in Karachi, was abused by the students and teachers who were upset with his antics in the soap. Some of them pushed him before he had to
rush and disappear from the scene.
"Oh I see all this as testimony to my acting skills. At least I am evoking so much reaction and highlighting an important social issue among women," Saud said.
"I feel satisfied that I have been put able to do so much justice to my character that it is drawing so much reaction," he added.

to love them. He forces one of them to commit suicide when she gets pregnant.
