Patil left for Cyprus where she will be on a state visit.

Patil had earlier in the day joined Britain's Queen Elizabeth II to launch the 2010 Commonwealth Games Baton Relay at a gala Indian ceremony in Buckingham Palace.

The Indian president also addressed a meeting of business leaders organised by the UK-India Business Council (UKIBC) in London.
