Rahul accepts Bilawal's invite to visit Pakistan: reports

Congress party general secretary Rahul Gandhi was invited to visit Pakistan by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the son of President Asif Ali Zardari, and has accepted the invite, it was reported on Sunday.

Congress party general secretary Rahul Gandhi was invited to visit Pakistan by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the son of President Asif Ali Zardari, and has accepted the invite, it was reported on Sunday.

Bilawal, 24, the Pakistan Peoples Party chairman, has accompanied his father on his day-long trip to India where they were invited for lunch at Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's residence in New Delhi.

The News International reported from New Delhi that Bilawal, who was seated next to Rahul Gandhi at the lunch at 7, Race Course Road, invited the 41-year-old Indian leader to visit Pakistan and the latter accepted the invitation.

After the lunch, Zardari and his entourage left for Ajmer in Rajasthan to offer prayers at the shrine of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti.

Bilawal, born September 21, 1988, is the eldest child and only son of late former prime minister Benazir Bhutto.
