At least 14 people were killed by a wave of cold weather in southern Nepal over the past four days, state radio has said.

At least 14 people were killed by a wave of cold weather in southern Nepal over the past four days, state radio has said.

"At least 14 people were killed by the cold wave in Nepal's different districts in the southern Terai belt in the last four days," Radio Nepal said.

Most schools remained closed in the far southwest Bardia district due to the extreme cold which was due to continue for a few more days, the report said.
