At least 6 people were killed and 16 wounded on Wednesday in an attack that included a suicide blast at provincial council offices in the Afghan city of Kandahar, a health official told AFP.
"We have three people martyred and 16 others wounded," provincial health chief Abdul Qayoum Pukhla said.
No provincial councillors were killed but some were wounded, he said.
