Delta spokesman Paul Skrbec says Flight 268 had taken off Saturday night, headed for Tel Aviv, Israel.

The odor became noticeable shortly into the flight and the captain decided to return to JFK in an "abundance of caution."

The 390 passengers on the flight were given accomodations for the night. Skrbec says the flight has been rescheduled for Sunday evening.
