Five Islamist militants were killed in a missile attack by a suspected US drone in Pakistan's N Waziristan region

Five Islamist militants were killed on Friday in a missile attack by a suspected US drone in Pakistan's North Waziristan region, the second such attack in as many days, security officials said.

"Two drones were flying in the area. They fired three missiles," said a witness in the region, near the Afghan border, who declined to be identified.

An intelligence official said five militants were killed while another said the the toll could rise.
