Taliban attack kills 13 Afghan soldiers
The Afghan defense ministry today said Taliban militants have attacked an army outpost near the border with Pakistan, killing 13 soldiers.

The Afghan defense ministry on Friday said Taliban militants have attacked an army outpost near the border with Pakistan, killing 13 soldiers.
Ministry spokesman general Mohammad Zahir Azimi says the fighting began around dawn on Friday in the Nari district of Kunar province.
The Taliban have claimed responsibility for the attack and say they have captured the outpost.
