Thai PM vows legal action against summit protesters

Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva vowed Sunday to take legal action in the next four days against protesters who forced the closure of a major Asian summit.

Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva vowed Sunday to take legal action in the next four days against protesters who forced the closure of a major Asian summit.

"I promise that in the next three to four days there will legal action taken (against protesters)," the premier said in a live national televised address.

Abhisit said he had met with military officials to discuss the failure of security after demonstrators stormed the regional meetings a day earlier, forcing their cancellation and the emergency rescue of foreign leaders.
