Prosecutors said yesterday that Clarence J. Dias pleaded guilty in Queens Criminal Court to one count of possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child.
Prosecutors say the 65-year-old is expected to be sentenced next month to a conditional discharge and ordered to register as a sex offender. A message left with Dias' lawyer was not immediately returned.
Dias is the director of the International Center for Law in Development. His office is in the U.N. headquarters. He was arrested last month at John F. Kennedy International Airport after authorities said they uncovered a DVD in his luggage containing images of sexual acts between a prepubescent boy and a man.
