Baahubali 2 has already become the highest grossing Indian film ever. Still audiences are flocking to nearby theatres to get a glimpse of the grand state of Mahismati where Amrendra Baahubali and Sivagami Devi ruled. It seems they can’t get enough of director SS Rajamouli’s fictional kingdom.
From Prabhas’ Amrendra Baahubali to Ramya Krishnan’s Sivagami Devi, every character in the film has got its own fan following. Even the actors wouldn’t have anticipated such pan-India popularity before the release of the film.
But what about those actors who were offered important roles in the Baahubali franchise and they refused. Well, one such actor is Sridevi.
She was the first choice to play Sivagami, but she didn’t accept the offer. The reason behind it was her high paycheque.
DNA quoted a source saying that disagreement over money was the prime reason behind Sridevi’s refusal. While Ramya Krishnan was paid Rs 2.5 crore for her role, Sridevi had asked for double the amount.
Sridevi will soon be seen in Mom along with Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Akshaye Khanna.
