Ishant Sharma was recently in Varanasi, Pratima’s hometown. He sought divine blessings in the old city’s famous temples and the sacred ghats.
The 28-year-old Ishant Sharma is expected to lead India’s pace attack with Mohammed Shami when the first Test against England starts in Rajkot on November 9. He has taken 209 wickets in 72 Tests. His last Test was in Port-of-Spain in August this year.
