France and Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema is allowed to play in Euro 2016 after legal restrictions placed on him over his alleged involvement in a sex tape blackmail case were lifted on Friday, his lawyers said.

An appeals court “upheld the decision of the investigating magistrate that allows Karim Benzema to come into contact with Mathieu Valbuena”, his international teammate who is featured in the sex tape, lawyer Olivier Combe said.
