Former Congress MP Rajesh Nandini Singh died on Sunday after a heart attack, her family said.
Singh (59) is survived by her son and daughter.
The Congress leader complained of uneasiness in the afternoon following which she was rushed to a hospital. However, she died en-route to the hospital, the sources said.
Singh was elected as member of the 15th Lok Sabha from Shahdol seat in 2009. She was also elected as a MLA from Kotma seat in Shahdol district in 1993.
Her late husband Dalbir Singh was a former Union minister.
Her last rites will be performed on Monday at her ancestral village, they said.
