Actor Salman Khan, who is in the city to shoot for his next film ‘Sultan’, on Friday took time out from his schedule to meet his the then school teacher from Scindia School days in Gwalior.

Manjitinder Singh Bedi of Nabha, who runs his own school now in Patiala, taught history to the superstar when he was a student in 1979. Bedi said Salman had informed him about the visit on telephone before coming to Ludhiana for shooting.”I and my family spend more than 6 hours with Khan and also attended the party at the hotel. He paid full regards to me,”said Bedi after meeting him at a hotel where the actor is staying.

“He talked about school days and friends. He remembered everything from his school days and names of all his school friends. This was amazing, how a person at his level, above all busiest actor, can remember all this even after four decades,”he added.

Recalling a teenaged Khan, Bedi said, “Surprisingly, the ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ was stage shy in school; however, he was an outstanding sportsman. He was good at cricket, hockey and swimming. He was also mischievous for which he was punished many times, but he never cribbed about it.’’

Ludhiana hotelier Harjinder Singh Kukreja also met the star. Two Ludhiana girls Sanvi Batra and Aaradhya Sahi will also feature with him in the upcoming flick.
