Dhanush released the second look of Rajinikanth in the upcoming film Kaala Kaarikalan, and Thalaivar’s swag is the highlight of this look. He is sporting the salt and pepper look for the Pa Ranjith directorial and combined with the greasy look and dark background, the second look is intriguing. It shows that the man is not worried about getting his hands (or in this case, his face) dirty.

Before releasing the look, Dhanush wrote on Twitter, “Will be launching kaalaa 2 nd look tonight at 12 am for superstars birthday .. look forward to the swag of superstar.”

At the stroke of midnight, Dhanush, who is producing the film under Wunderbar Studios banner, shared the look and wrote, “Here you go !! The king of style 🤴 our Superstar’s “kaalaa” 2nd look. #theswagofsuperstar #kaalaa #happybirthdaythalaiva.”

Rajinikanth and team have shot for the film in Mumbai and on sets in Chennai. The stills from the sets had gone viral on social media. The film also features Nana Patekar, Huma Qureshi, Pankaj Tripathi and Samuthirakani and is expected to be about a slumlord from Dharavi, Mumbai.

Rajinikanth’s film 2.0, also starring Akshay Kumar and directed by Shankar was postponed recently. The makers of the film, Lyca Productions, announced that the film will hit screens in April. This led to rumours that Kaala might release before 2.0, however makers of Kaala rubbished the rumours and confirmed that the film will not release before 2.0.
