Have you gotten bored of that stark black or blue helmet of yours, that has a thin strip as the lone design element? A Delhi-based artist has come up with a range of hand-painted head-gears that will definitely put some colour to your biking.

For a month now, Rohit Kant — a fashion designing graduate — has been selling hand-painted helmets from his Hauz Khas ‘studio’. Depending upon their sizes, says Kant, the helmets costs anything between R8,900 to R12,800. “A custom-made helmet costs more than the design provided by me,” he adds.

“People in Delhi go more for bling, while buyers from Bangalore or Mumbai want music on their helmet,” says Rohit, who uses imported FTR helmets for his “artwork”.

What more, his Facebook community already has 268 members.
