Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit the poll- bound West Bengal at least nine times for campaigning.

Its not only Modi, BJP national general secretary Amit Shah and senior leader and Union home minister Rajnath Singh will also carry out a whirlwind tour of the state.
“BJP’s central leadership is giving utmost importance to Bengal and the upcoming assembly polls. We are happy that they can spare time for the people of Bengal,” said Dilip Ghosh, BJP state president.
BJP, which has lost much of its Lok Sabha momentum in the state, is desperately trying to make a mark in the upcoming assembly polls.
According to BJP state party leaders, the fact that heavyweight BJP leaders such as Narendra Modi, Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh will address at least 26 meetings across the state, suggests that the BJP’s central leadership is taking the 2016 assembly polls in West Bengal very seriously.
Modi’s campaigning will start from Kharagpur on March 26 and he will end his public meeting in Coo ch Behar on May 2.
