Repolling concludes in 48 polling stations of Punjab
The re-polling in 48 polling stations of five Punjab districts-- Amritsar, Moga, Muktsar, Mansa and Sangrur--is underway with reports of over 30 per cent electors casting their votes by 11 am.
The re-polling in 48 polling stations of five Punjab districts-- Amritsar, Moga, Muktsar, Mansa and Sangrur--concluded on Thursday.

The Election Commission (EC) had ordered re-poll following malfunctioning of voter-verified paper audit trail and electronic voting machines in these stations during polling on February 4.

As per reports reaching here, voters began reaching polling stations early in the morning to cast their votes. at most places, voting concluded by 5 pm.
While 75% voting was seen in Amritsar, 81% polling was observed in Moga.
In Mansa , too, voting concluded at 5 pm and 90.33% polling was seen.
In Muktsar, 89.4 % polling was recorded.
In Majitha segment, the re-polling is taking place for both assembly as well as the Amritsar Lok Sabha by-poll. Majitha assembly segment is a part of Amritsar lok sabha constituency.
While in four booths polling was ordered for Majitha assembly seat alone, in 8 booths re-polling is underway only for Lok Sabha by-poll.

In eight polling stations also in Majitha segment re-poll was ordered for both Lok Sabha as well as Majitha vidhan sabha seat.
Besides, nine polling stations are in Muktsar, six in Sangrur, four in Sardulgarh and one in Moga.
The vote count would take place on March 11.

4.00 pm: 86.5 per cent polling in Kaurewala village.
3.00 pm: Polling percentage reaches 78 per cent in Sardulgarh village and 78.3 per cent in Muktsar.
2.00 pm: 69.38 per cent polling in Muktsar.
1.00 pm: 48 per cent polling in Majitha.
1.00 pm: Polling surges to 55 per cent at polling booth in Kaurewala village in Sardulgarh.
12.00 pm: 47.29 per cent voting reported in Muktsar
11.30 am:43 per cent polling in Majitha.

11.00 am: 30 per cent electors casting their votes
11.15 am:33 per cent voting reported in Kaurewala village in Sardulgarh.
