6 cricket enthusiasts killed in Madhya Pradesh mishap

The victims were going from Pipalya Hat village to Khate village to watch a cricket match when the accident occurred, 18 km from Bhopal.

At least six cricket enthusiasts were killed and three others seriously injured on Wednesday morning when a car they were travelling in collided with a truck near Dewas district's Basbai Kheda, the police said.

The victims were going from Pipalya Hat village to Khate village to watch a cricket match when the accident occurred, 18 km from Bhopal. While five of them were killed on the spot, one youth died while undergoing treatment at the district hospital.

Three critically injured passengers were first taken to a nearby hospital from where they have been referred to a hospital in Indore, said the police.
