BJP Madhya Pradesh unit president, Prabhat Jha said in Bhopal on Sunday that former Health Minister, Anoop Mishra has shown great moral courage by resigning from his post following murder charges against him and his family members.
Talking to PTI, Prabhat said Mishra's decision to resign was all the more commendable as he or his family members were not at all guilty of all the charges that had been levelled against them.
Mishra, who is a nephew of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, resigned last week following charges that he and his family members were involved in the killing of a youth near Bela village on the outskirts of his native town Gwalior on June 23.
The youth was killed during a dispute relating to the construction of a boundary wall for the IPS college that is being run by Mishra's wife. Answering a question, Prabhat said it was highly unlikely that some more ministers may be asked to resign in the wake of Mishra's resignation.
He said that nothing can be done in the case of Industries Minister, Kailash Vijaywargia till the probe against him was completed by the Lokayukta.
Prabhat said that he was not against politicians engaging in some business of their own. He, however, said that such politicians should make sure that they do not use their political clout for business purposes.
"Mixing politics with business can never be thought of as something right," Prabhat said.
