Vinod Kumar Pandey, 69, a resident of BSNL Colony in Makronia, was at a queue in front of the local Union Bank of India branch when he suddenly fainted. Those near him called the 108 ambulance and informed the nearby Padmakar police station.

Pandey was rushed to a private hospital where he was declared brought dead.

Padmakar police station officer VS Chouhan speculated that Pandey could have collapsed due to heart failure brought on by old age.
