Mid-day meal case: FIR filed against NGO

"The Habibganj area police have registered the FIR against Naandi Foundation which supplied meal to the students of Sarojini Naidu Girls' School in Shivaji Nagar locality following the complaint of Bhopal Municipal Corporation," Additional Superintendent of Police Ruchi Srivastava said.

Case under Section 269 (Negligent Act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life) an Section 336 (Act endangering life or personal safety of others) of IPC has been registered against the NGO, police said.

Naandi Foundation' supplies mid-day meal to 58,000 students of the government-run schools in the city since July 2006, in 535 primary and middle schools, besides Madarsas in Bhopal.
