The woman, Lalita Patil, 25, was waiting for the bus, when the boundary wall of the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) collapsed in Bhopal. The woman had died on the spot.

Taking cognisance of the incident, the rights panel has asked the MPBSE about the incident and whether it fell because of lack of maintenance.

The Commission has also asked whether the Board authorities were aware of the dilapidated condition of the boundary wall. The MPHRC has sought a reply within a week, according to LR Sisodia, additional director (public relations), who is posted with the MPHRC.
