A Tamil film is on Abhishek Bachchan's wish list

Abhishek Bachchan has expressed his eagerness to work in a Tamil film because of his ‘old bond’ with Chennai. The Guru star, who is the owner of the Chennai franchise in Indian Super League (ISL), is also looking forward to spending some sporting days in Chennai.

Actor Abhishek Bachchan has expressed his eagerness to work in a Tamil film because of his ‘old bond’ with Chennai. The Guru star, who is the owner of the Chennai franchise in Indian Super League (ISL), is also looking forward to spending some sporting days in Chennai, as the glamorous football event unfolds.

“I would love to and I am dying to do a Tamil film,” said Bachchan, who was part of many Hindi projects of Tamil directors Mani Ratnam and the late Jeeva, and said that he had shot several times in Chennai and has many friends in the city.

The actor recalled that his father, actor Amitabh Bachchan used to work in the city as part of his professional commitments in the 80s, and sometimes the entire family would accompany him during his shoots in Chennai. “I have been coming to Chennai since I was a kid. Dad worked here for many of his films, we have spent many summers in the city,” he said.
