After a successful 2016 with films like Phobia, Parched and Kabali, Radhika Apte is taking her time to ready scripts while she waits for roles that excite her.

A source says, “2016 was a great year for Radhika. Her performances in Phobia, Parched and Kabali gave her immense success and appreciation and her power-packed performance has surely made her the actress to watch out for.” She has a knack for choosing interesting character-driven roles, which have always been critically acclaimed as well as applauded by the audience.

“Many directors are waiting to work with Radhika, but she is in no hurry to sign films. She has been going through some scripts and wants to take her time to choose a role which excites her. Her focus is on content-driven projects only. She is in no hurry to sign a film and is taking her time read several scripts and wants to only sign the one that she loves,” adds the source. Radhika will be shooting for Akshay Kumar’s Padman next.

Radhika says, “I’m looking for something that excites me, challenges me and is inspiring at the same time. Also, something that will help me grow as an artist.”
