“Aishwarya’s father Krishnaraj Rai has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital in suburban Bandra,” Aishwarya’s publicist said. The publicist, however, did not share any further details.

An Indian Express report quoted a source as saying that Aishwarya’s dad is likely to be suffering from a recurrence of cancer. He was supposed to be discharged after a two-week stay in the hospital, but has now been shifted to the ICU, it added.

Aishwarya and her actor husband Abhishek Bachchan visited him in the hospital Wednesday night.

Meanwhile, on the work front, speculations are rife that the couple will reportedly be seen together after a gap of seven years in a film titled Gulab Jamun, to be backed by Phantom Films.
