To give the song Meharbani, from Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film, The Shaukeens, a more romantic feel, the makers decided to shoot it on a yacht, but with a slight twist.
A source says, "Initially, one part of the track was supposed to be shot on a yacht. Then when the yacht arrived, there was a change in plan because Akshay wanted to do something different. He felt it would be more interesting if he and his co-star (South African supermodel Michelle) in the song just sat in the yacht, while it was being driven around the streets of Cape Town, attached to a vehicle."
Talking about the experience, the film’s director, Abhishek Sharma, says, "It was Akshay’s idea to take the yacht to the road. He felt it would be something unusual; something that one hasn’t seen before on screen, and he was right. The visuals look out of this world."
The Shaukeens has been produced by Murad Khetani, Cape Of Good Films and Ashwin Varde. It is slated to release on November 7.
