In a funny sequence from the film, actors Katrina Kaif and Imran Khan pay tribute to AAA by dressing up like veteran actors Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh. “MBKD is set in the Delhi-Agra-Dehradun belt and the region has strong cultural influences.

You will see Imran, Katrina and other actors doing the ‘aadab’ several times — like in Amar Akbar Anthony — in the film’s sequence. Also, since I had an opportunity to bring in that nostalgic-retro feel, I thought, ‘why not?’ It has turned out to be very funny. It’s my way of paying tribute to such great films,” says director Ali Abbas Zafar.

In the film, Ali has incorporated moves of current actors such as Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan in the title song of the film. And the debutant director is happy with the results.

“Whoever watched the film has told me that it delivers more than what it promises through trailers,” says Ali, who assisted director Kabir Khan on New York (2009). Ali admits he is nervous. “Maybe, next time I will be more relaxed,” he says.
