Amitabh Bachchan supports project advocating the rights of girls

The veteran actor has contributed to a book titled Meri Beti Meri Shakti, in which renowned personalities from the country have shared their experiences of being a parent to a girl.

Always one to support a noble cause, Amitabh Bachchan is now part of a project that advocates the rights of girls.

The veteran actor has contributed to a book titled Meri Beti Meri Shakti, in which renowned personalities from the country have shared their experiences of being a parent to a girl.

The book is an initiative by the child rights NGO, Plan India, and is a part of their global campaign, Because I am a Girl.

In the book, Bachchan has shared a photograph of him with his daughter Shweta Nanda. He writes, “Love your children unconditionally, support, trust and guide them; indulge them and most importantly spend time with them. It is never too late to get involved in your child’s life.”

Other notable people who are part of the book include Neerja Birla, Kapil Dev, Sharmila Tagore, Mary Kom, Anil Kapoor and Pandit Jasraj, among others.
