After being a part of National Award-winning film Pink (2016), actor Angad Bedi couldn’t have been happier to have bagged this chance to star alongside Salman Khan in Ali Abbas Zafar’s Tiger Zinda Hai.

Another reason that got Angad on-board is that he go to perform high-octane action scenes. This will be the first time the actor will be seen doing daring stunts, that too without a body double. While he has spoken about why he didn’t opt for stuntmen and performed all acts by himself, he now tells us what really inspired and helped him prep up for his role.

Angad spent a lot of time watching the work of some of his favorite Hollywood action stars including Jackie Chan, Steven Seagal and Wesley Snipes. And he made sure that he followed their footsteps in all his action scenes.

“I watched a lot of Jean-Claude Van Damme films and loved his film Bloodsport (1988). I also follow kickboxing. But if you ask me for inspiration, Sylvester Stallone held the gun in the best way possible,” says Angad.

The actor, who grew up watching Hollywood action flicks, adds, “I love the genre and always wanted to do such a film. I love speed, guns, chase sequences, as it’s all done in such quick time.”

While makers are keeping Angad’s role in the film under wraps, fans can’t wait to watch if this sets his image as the new action hero on the block. The cast of the film, also starring Katrina Kaif, wrapped their Abu Dhabi schedule on September 21. Being directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the film, a sequel to the 2012 film Ek Tha Tiger, is to release on December 22.
