Anil Kapoor goes missing for Zoya Akhtar's next

In a bid to to ensure that his look in Zoya Akhtar’s next stays under wraps, Anil Kapoor has refrained from posting anything on social media. The film also stars Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar and Anushka Sharma.

Actors can go to great lengths to ensure that their upcoming on-screen looks remain under wraps. This time around, it is Anil Kapoor, who will be seen in a new avatar in film-maker Zoya Akhtar’s next film that also stars Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh.

While other actors in the film have been posting pictures of themselves from the sets of the film on Instagram and Twitter,

Anil

has not uploaded even one picture.

Interestingly, Ranveer Singh posted a picture on Facebook with Anil Kapoor, asking fans to captions it.

A source close to the project reveals, "In the film, Anil plays father to Priyanka Chopra and

. It’s a mature character — something he hasn’t essayed on the big screen before. (Celebrity hairstylist) Adhuna Akhtar has given him a new haircut to look the part. The make-up artistes had to do a lot of work on making Anil look older for his role, because in real life, he looks much younger and is physically very fit, too."

The unit is currently shooting for the film on a cruise. We’re told that once the actor gets into his look, he apparently gets on his guard. "Anil doesn’t get down at ports when he is in that look. He feels that the suspense about his look should be maintained," says the source.
