"It was a last-minute decision by the makers as most of the crew hail from Maharashtra. Also, the rescheduling wouldn’t have harmed the film," says an insider from the production house.

Vivek, who reunites with the production house 12 years after Saathiya (2002), confirms the development. He says, "Yes, the shooting of the film was cancelled so that all of us could go and vote."

Even Tusshar Kapoor postponed one of his shoots so that he doesn’t miss out on voting.
