The buzz around director Anurag Kashyap’s forthcoming film Bombay Velvet is getting louder just in time for its release date on April 15. In a move that promises to raise the hysteria around the film even more, filmmaker Karan Johar, who's playing a negative role in the film, shared two pictures of Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma from the film. And, as expected, the pictures have gone viral on Twitter.

Ranbir is playing a small time boxer in the film, while Anushka will be seen as a club singer.

Based on historian Gyan Prakash's book Mumbai Fables, the movie narrates the story of how the Bombay in '60s became a metropolis against the backdrop of love, greed, violence and jazz music.

Kay Kay Menon, Vivaan Shah, Remo Fernandes, Manish Choudhary and Siddharth Basu also play pivotal roles in the movie.
