When Nair was approached for the film, she immediately gave her nod.

Aashayein

also features Sonal Sehgal and has been directed by Nagesh Kukunoor. It is a story of a compulsive gambler called Rahul Singh, played by Abraham, who discovers new meanings of life through a dramatic turn of events. The film releases on August 27.
